Art founded the agency in 1981. After four years in the Air Force, he graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Business Management. After graduation, he began a career in the insurance industry as a Claims adjuster for great insurance companies like The Travelers, General Accident and Continental.

Art graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1990 with a BMGT degree with emphasis in Management Information Systems. Licensed since 1990, he has the qualifications and experience to help you with any of your insurance needs. In 1995, he received the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation. In 2002, Art received the highly respected CPIA designation - Certified Professional Insurance Agent. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Professional Insurance Agents of Tennessee (PIA) and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Crossville Noon Rotary Club.

Tom joined Gernt Insurance in August 2004 & is a fully licensed agent who can represent you with your Home, Auto, Commercial and Life or Health insurance. Tom recently graduated from The Pacesetter Academy in Columbus, OH.  He previously was in sales & service with a national pest control company for 10 years.  Tom graduated from York Institute in 1992.  He is married to wife Patricia and has two children - Emilee age 10 & Ryan age 5.  Tom is a member of the Crossville Noon Rotary Club.

Tambra joined Gernt Insurance in July 2005. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, she has over 16 years of experience in insurance customer service. Tambra is a licensed insurance agent in Tennessee. Tambra is married to husband Bob, and has three children – Kiley age 18, Scott age 16, and Erin age 11.
